Today

We had a practice and we went through the whole play.
We only have a few more practice!
The time past so fast!!
Yesterday we went to the other class to promote our play.
At first I felt a bit nervous but it was exciting!
I hope many people would come to see us.

Costume and property

Melinda, Rie and I went to shopping to buy some cosutmes and properties last week(Last Tuesday).
It was a bit difficult to imagine all the characters.
But we were able to buy some clothes and properties.
And I enjoyed shopping because I discovered the new shops that I've never been to !
We haven't got all the costumes yet but I hope we can get suitable costumes by the performance day !

Today I'm going to give you some information about Charles Dickens, who was a great novelist in the 19th century. He was born on 7th February
in 1912 in Portsmouth, England. He was the second of eight children to
John ddickens. His family moved to London in 1922, when he was 10 years old. He began working when he was a 12 -year-old for 10 hours a day in Warren's boot-blacking. In May 1827, he began work in the office of Ellis and Blakemore as a law clerk., he became a political journalist, reporting on parliamentary debate and traveling across Britain by stagecoach and, in 1830, met his first love, Maria Beadne.

Today is my writing day.
Today, we practised our drama.
I think we are getting better little by little.
I can't remember my lines well so my acting is a little bit strange and awkward.
But if i get used to my lines, i will be able to act natually.
I wish everybody got used to their lines.
Of cause, including me.

Second Drama

It's my second drama.
My first drama was The important of Being Earnest.
At that time, my role was Jack.
And now, I'm Fred.
There are 7 people in our drama class.
Sulaiman, Talal, Ahmed, Majid, Rie, Yuko, Camila and me.
We now are practising hard to show a good drama.

TIPS FOR LEANING LINES

There are many methods for keeping lines or sentences in your mind. The most common method, which is used especially by students, is saying the line or sentence many times. The second method, I used when I was in the secondary school, is rewriting the line or sentence many times. The last method I know is recording the line or sentence in your voice and listening to it in your free times. In fact I have never tried this method.
At the end, I hope that I covered some methods for learning lines or sentences...

Dickensian Festival

Hello, this it Rie.
Today I checked 'International Student Tours' brochure because I want to visit many city while I'm in England.
And I found that there is "Dickensian Festival" of Rochester.
At this festival you can see costumed charactors and street parade of “A Christmas Carol”!!
Besides you can learn more about Charles Dikens at the new visitor centre.
This trip will be held on 01st December. And it costs ￡21.
Why don't you go?

Today I made a poster.
It took quite a long time, but now I'm satisfied !
Today we didn't have afternoon class so I couldn't see everybody.
But deadline of memorise is next Monday.
So I'm sure that everybody is now reading a script !

She is kind, warm and strong!
She used to love Scrooge but he changed a lot so she doesn't like him anymore.

And I'm also The Ghost of Christmas Present!
She is a ghost but lively and cheerful!

I'm enjoying with my classmates.
I'm looking forward to play!!

I wanted to join a drama club.
But there are no drama club at my school in Japan.
So this is a good chance for me.

Reading lines of script is fun!
I can't speak English fluently because I can't make sentences speedy.
So my speaking is very slowly and sentences are quite simple.

But when I read lines, I can feel as if I can speak English fluently.
I hope I'll be able to speak my own sentences like that.

I've memorized my lines of ACT1 yesterday.
It took less than a hour. (I have 7 lines)

I'm Scrooge. I'm 55 years old.
I'm always angry, serious, cruel and I like buisness very much.

I'm one of many character in "Christmas Carol" which was wrote Charles Dickens and It was first published on in 1843 with illustrations by John leech.The story was instantly successful, selling over six thousand copies in one week and, although originally written as a potboiler to enable Dickens to pay off a debt, the tale has become one of the most popular and enduring Christmas stories of all time.
We did some practice with listening and speaking.
